RATES AND PAYMENT POLICY

Payment Policy

The following rates are correct as of the date shown.  However, Eagles Rest Resort reserves the right to amend or change the rates and payment policy at any time without notice.  All rates should be confirmed at the time of enquiry or booking.

The rates shown below are expressed in Zambian Kwacha and are subject to the Booking Terms and Conditions shown elsewhere on this web-site.

Payment may be made in any of the following foreign currencies in cash: United States Dollars, Pounds Sterling, Euros, and South African Rand. However, all invoices will be expressed in Zambian Kwacha and converted to such foreign currency at the Eagles Rest hotel rate on the date of payment.

Payments may be made by any of the following credit cards: VISA, MASTERCARD, and AMERICAN EXPRESS. However, all credit card payments will be transacted in Zambian Kwacha and conversion to the clients "home currency" will be done by the credit card service provider.

Payment by cheque will not be accepted.

The Management of Eagles Rest Resort reserves the right to accept payment by cheque from known clients.

Accommodation

Chalet Accommodation Bed and Breakfast:

Chalet Accommodation Self Catering:

Please note: Eagles Rest Resort does not supply food stuff for self catering nor does it provide any crockery, cutlery or cooking utensils. Each chalet is equipped with a small bar fridge, an outdoor washing up facility and electric power points, and a braai (barbeque) stand. Charcoal can be provided at ZMK to be advised per box.

Camping: (own tents)

A restaurant is available offering breakfast, lunch and dinner. Prices vary according to meal ordered but range from

Activities

Note: All activities are undertaken at the clients own risk and each client or group (as appropriate) is expected to read and sign the appropriate indemnity prior to undertaking such activity.

Sunset Cruise (approx: 2 hours) Ubwatu - maximum 12 passengers - cash bar
ZMK to be advised per person - minimum charge for the boat ZMK to be advised (less than 8 passengers)

Sunset Cruise (approx: 2 hours) Mkwazi - maximum 15 passengers - cash bar
ZMK to be advised per person - minimum charge for the boat ZMK to be advised (less than 12 passengers)

Sunset Cruise (approx: 2 hours) Bateleur - 15 to 50 passengers - cash bar
ZMK to be advised per person - minimum charge for the boat ZMK to be advised (less than 20 passengers)

Fishing excursions (per half day) small boat with coxswain - maximum 3 passengers
ZMK to be advised boat hire plus fuel consumed charged at ZMK to be advised per 20 litres or part thereof

Fishing Rod hire (per day)
ZMK to be advised per rod and reel per day plus ZMK to be advised refundable deposit (subject to loss or damage)

Fishing rods are equipped with line, hook and weight - artificial lures are not provided.  Additional hooks, weights and lures may be purchased (subject to availability).

Water Sports

Tube rides, skiing, and wake boarding (per hour)
ZMK to be advised boat and equipment hire (including driver) plus fuel consumed charged at ZMK to be advised per 20 litres or part thereof

Wind surfing (per half day) - competent windsurfers only - lessons not provided

Canoe Safaris on the Zambezi River
One day Canoe Safaris can be arranged. Prior booking is required and availability is subject to acceptance by the Safari operator.  Price subject to a quotation from Safari operator.

Houseboat Cruises - Bateleur (prior booking required)

Houseboat charge (maximum 12 passengers)

Catering (full board) ZMK to be advised per person per day
Note: Self catering IS NOT available on houseboat cruises.

Extras:

Bar - charged at Eagles Rest bar prices less 10% on a "sale or return" basis.
