PAYMENT POLICY

The following rates are correct as of the date shown.  However, Eagles Rest Resort reserves the right to amend or change the rates and payment policy at any time without notice.  All rates should be confirmed at the time of enquiry or booking.

The rates shown below are subject to the Booking Terms and Conditions shown elsewhere on this web-site.

Payment may be made in any of the following foreign currencies in cash: United States Dollars, Pounds Sterling, Euros, and South African Rand. However, all invoices will be expressed in Zambian Kwacha and converted to such foreign currency at the Eagles Rest hotel rate on the date of payment.

Payments may be made by any of the following credit cards: VISA, MASTERCARD. However, all credit card payments will be transacted in Zambian Kwacha and conversion to the clients "home currency" will be done by the credit card service provider. Please note: a 3.5% bank commission will be added to all credit card payments.

Payment by cheque will not be accepted.

The Management of Eagles Rest Resort reserves the right to accept payment by cheque from known clients.

Zambian Residents Rates are offered for residents of Zambia ONLY.

Proof of residency such as a National Registration Card or Work Permit will be requested on check in.

Please note: Eagles Rest Resort does not supply food stuff for self catering nor does it provide any crockery, cutlery or cooking utensils. Each chalet is equipped with a small bar fridge, an outdoor washing up facility and electric power points, and a braai (barbeque) stand. Charcoal can be provided at ZMK6,000 per box.

The Restaurant is open ALL DAY offering breakfast, lunch and dinner.

ACTIVITIES

Note: All activities are undertaken at the clients own risk and each client or group (as appropriate) is expected to read and sign the appropriate indemnity prior to undertaking such activity.

BOATING EXCURSIONS

Boat Trip and Village Tour (full day)

Take a full day boat trip on the Lake to Lotri Bay and visit Village Point. Have lunch and a bush walk to see local village life.

Fishing rods are equipped with line, hook and weight - artificial lures are not provided.  Additional hooks, weights and lures may be purchased (subject to availability).

Fishing Safaris (full day)

Full day fishing safaris can be organised either on the Lake.

Minimum 2 passengers - maximum 6 passengers.

Canoe safaris on Lake Kariba can be organised
Minimum 4 passengers - maximum 12 passengers.

Take a boat trip on the Lake to Muneni and Kadunka Islands.
Camp on the island and explore the area by canoe.
Bird life and fishing around the islands is excellent.

Houseboat Charter Cruises - Bateleur

Minimum charge for Houseboat ZMK3 million per day
(divide by the number os passengers on-board)

(approx US$600 per day @ exchange rate of 5000 = US$)
Rate includes all bedding, linen, towels, crockery/cutlery etc and main engine fuel.

Catering extra:

Adults ZMK200,000 per person per day (Full Board)
Children under 12 years half price.

Bar extra:

Beer, soft drinks, mixers, and water etc can be provided at bar prices. Please confirm your requirements (type and quantity) at the time of booking or at least 3 days before departure time.
Drinks sold on a "sale or return" basis.
Payment of bar to be made on disembarkation.

Bring your own "hardtak" - spirits, wine or special drinks

Tender boat fuel extra:

Bateleur normally carries 1 or 2 tender boats on charter cruises for clients to go fishing or sight seeing. We do not charge for the hire of tender boats but fuel is charged on usage at ZMK300,000 per 25 litres or part thereof.
